Services Include:

Depression & anxiety

Persistent feelings of sadness, lack of interest, irritability, sleeping too much or not enough, reduced or increased appetite, constant worrying, and memory problems can make life challenging. Many of these symptoms overlap with other mental health concerns — and the right support can help you gain some much-needed mental space.

PTSD, stressful life events, & burnout

If you’ve experienced a traumatic event, feel overworked or overwhelmed, are adjusting to major changes, or are suffering a significant loss — you don’t have to go it alone. Medication can help ease symptoms of stress and anxiety as you navigate and process big changes.

Severe mood swings

Extreme feelings of sadness and despair paired with feelings of euphoria, mania, or irritability are common symptoms of bipolar disorder. They can interfere with sleep, the ability to think, relationships, and everyday tasks. Bipolar disorder does not improve on its own. Our prescribers will work with you to develop a treatment plan to help get your symptoms under control.

Difficulty with focus & concentration

Disorganization, impulsiveness, poor time management, procrastination, and restlessness can be symptoms of ADHD, anxiety, and depression. The right medication can help improve communication between nerves and the brain to make everyday tasks easier. We do not prescribe stimulants at this time.

Sleep trouble

Difficulty falling or staying asleep, or sleeping too much, can be a symptom of and contribute to several larger conditions. Good sleep habits are foundational to improving mental health; the right medication can get you back on schedule.

Substance & alcohol abuse

Excessive drinking or drug use can be triggered by or contribute to stressful life events. Different medications can help manage a range of issues related to substance abuse — including cravings, severity of withdrawals, and symptoms of anxiety or depression. Adding therapy can help you form new long-term healthy habits, too.

ADHD

ADHD, or attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, is a behavioral condition that makes focusing on everyday requests and routines challenging. People with ADHD typically have trouble getting organized, staying focused, making realistic plans, and thinking before acting. They may be fidgety, noisy, and unable to adapt to changing situations.

Addiction/SUDs

Substance abuse is a pattern of compulsive drug and alcohol use marked by recurrent social, occupational, legal, or interpersonal adverse consequences, such as repeated absences from work or school, arrests, and marital difficulties.

Anxiety

Feelings of tension, worried thoughts, and physical changes like increased blood pressure characterize anxiety. People with anxiety disorders usually have recurring intrusive thoughts or concerns. They may avoid certain situations out of worry. They may also have physical symptoms such as sweating, trembling, dizziness, or a rapid heartbeat.

Autism Spectrum

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) refers to a group of diseases that typically begins during the preschool years and is characterized by difficulties communicating and interacting socially, along with rigid and repetitive patterns in behaviors, interests, and activities.

Body Dysmorphic Disorder

People with Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) tend to be preoccupied with an imagined defect in their physical appearance, or they’re excessively concerned with a slight physical anomaly. They may frequently check for flaws.

Bipolar Disorder

Bipolar disorder is a serious mental illness in which common emotions become intensely and often unpredictably magnified. Individuals with bipolar disorder can quickly swing from extremes of happiness, energy, and clarity to sadness, fatigue, and confusion. These shifts can be so devastating that individuals may consider suicide.

Chronic Pain

Chronic pain is physical pain that continues to occur despite all medical and pharmacological efforts at treatment.

Insomnia

Poor sleep at night can result in problems such as daytime sleepiness, poor decision-making, interference with learning, and accidents.

Eating Disorders

An eating disorder is usually characterized by a pathological disturbance of attitudes and behaviors related to food, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge-eating disorder.

Depression

Depression is extreme sadness or despair that lasts more than days. It interferes with the activities of daily life and can cause physical symptoms such as pain, weight loss or gain, sleeping pattern disruptions, or lack of energy. People with depression may also experience an inability to concentrate, feelings of worthlessness or excessive guilt, and recurrent thoughts of death or suicide.

Panic Attacks

A panic attack is a sudden surge of overwhelming fear without warning or obvious reason. It is far more intense than the feeling of being "stressed out" that most people experience. Symptoms of a panic attack include racing heartbeat, difficulty breathing, dizziness, lightheadedness or nausea, trembling, sweating, shaking, choking, chest pains, hot flashes, or sudden chills, tingling in fingers or toes, fear that you're going to go crazy or are about to die.

PTSD

Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) may develop in some people after extremely traumatic events, such as combat, a terrorist attack, a crime, an accident, or a natural disaster. People with PTSD may relive the trauma in painful recollections, flashbacks, or recurrent dreams or nightmares; avoid activities or places that recall the traumatic event; or experience physiological arousal, leading to symptoms such as an exaggerated startle response, disturbed sleep, difficulty in concentrating or remembering, and guilt about surviving the trauma when others did not.

Phobias

Phobias are a persistent and irrational fear of a specific situation, object, or activity (e.g., heights, dogs, water, blood, driving, flying), either endured with heightened distress or avoided altogether.

Personality Disorders

Personality disorders involve patterns of perceiving, relating to, and thinking about the environment and the self that interfere with the individual's long-term functioning and are not limited to isolated episodes. There are different categories and types, many of which are treatable.

Seasonal Affective Disorder

Seasonal affective disorder is a type of depression that lasts for a season, typically during the winter months, and goes away during the rest of the year. Treatment usually includes Therapy, Light Therapy and Medications.

Suicidal ideation

Suicidal ideation refers to thoughts about or preoccupation with killing oneself, often as a symptom of a major depressive episode. Most instances of suicidal ideation do not progress to attempted suicide.

CBT

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) focuses on the relationship among thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, targets current problems and symptoms, and focuses on changing patterns that lead to difficulties in functioning. CBT has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of issues, including depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug use problems, marital problems, eating disorders, and severe mental illness. Numerous research studies suggest that CBT significantly improves functioning and quality of life.

DBT

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) was originally developed to treat borderline personality disorder (BPD). Since then, it’s proven to be effective with a wide range of conditions, including self-harm, suicidality, substance abuse, and eating disorders that are often difficult to treat. DBT is a behavioral treatment that views emotion dysregulation as being the core of BPD and other conditions. Clients learn more adaptive behaviors for processing their emotions and new life skills.

EMDR

Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured therapy that encourages the patient to focus on the trauma memory briefly and simultaneously experience bilateral stimulation (usually eye movements.
